C.Ronaldo becames leading top scorer in Europe's top 6 leagues with 367 goals

MADRID: Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed legendary English striker Jimmy Greaves on Saturday to become the all-time leading scorer in Europe's top leagues with 367 goals.
Ronaldo's goal against Valencia was his 280th in La Liga, with the Portugal star also netting three times for Sporting Lisbon before scoring 84 Premier League goals in six highly successful years at Manchester United.

Real's all-time record goalscorer is now just four off 400 in all competitions for the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid are closing in on the signature of striker Vinicius Jr and the 16-year-old even took a medical examination for the club on Monday. The tests were planned by Vinicius' current side Flamengo, although the results were also sent on to Los Blancos as per their request. The Dutch football association KNVB is to look into reports that Vitesse fans made monkey noises directed at Ajax keeper Andre Onana during their match last weekend. The investigation followed a video on YouTube in which the sounds can be heard clearly behind the Ajax goal, where hardened Vitesse fans were sitting. The part of the video with the noise has now been removed but the KNVB has the original recording, website Nu.nl said. ‘Racism has no place in the stadium and must be tackled,’ the KNVB said on Twitter on Tuesday. ‘The KNVB has approached Vitesse to take steps.’ Nu.nl said the KNVB will decide on the basis of the clubs and the referees reports whether to start a formal investigation. However, sorces close to the player have denied he would take drugs.
