Report: Monaco rejects £68million Mbappe bid

Monaco are reported to have rejected the first concrete offer for Kylian Mbappe.

The much-lauded France striker, 18, has won an army of admirers this season following his breakthrough into the Monaco side, and has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United.

However, French radio station RMC Sports claims the opening bid for the striker has actually come in from Manchester City, against whom Mbappe starred during their Champions League campaign.

The station claims City’s opening bid was for £68million, which would represent a world-record fee for a teenager.

With the transfer window not yet open until July 1, it was likely a very easy decision for Monaco to reject the alleged approach, with the player expected to fetch up to €110m if and when he does leave.

Reports in Spain have suggested Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Mbappe, while the player admits he will decide upon his future at the end of the season.

PERU striker Paolo Guerrero is out of this countries vital World Cup play-off with New Zealand, after failing a drug test. The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) confirmed the news after their captain was selected for a random drugs test following the goalless draw with Argentina last month. Peru striker Paolo Guerrero set for long ban after failing drug test Accoring to Globoesporte the 33-year-old's sample had traces of Benzoylecglonine, the main component of cocaine. However, sorces close to the player have denied he would take drugs. Guerrero has been hit with an initial 30 day suspension by Fifa and will miss the double-header with the Kiwis in the upcoming international break. The Flamengo forward will also miss the Copa Sudamericana semi-final against Columbian side Junior Baranquilla. Sergio Ramos claims he will be 'back in no time' after the Real Madrid defender broke his nose in their derby draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday. Zinedine Zidane's side had to play the whole of the second half without their captain as he was taken off at half-time after breaking his nose in a collision with Atletico's Lucas Hernandez. Following the goalless draw at the Wanda Metropolitano, Ramos took to Instagram to post some graphic and bloody photos of his nose, as well as showing his devotion to the club. It will be "suicidal", if we pack the bus against Al Ahly in CAF champions league final

Wydad Casablanca coach Hussein Amotta said it would be "suicidal" to try and defend the 1-1 CAF Champions League final first-leg draw when they meet Al Ahly again Saturday.  A goalless second leg at the Stade Mohammed V would give the Moroccans victory over the Egyptians on the away-goal rule in the premier African club competition title decider. Barcelona have taken a big step in signing Griezmann according to reports

Barcelona have reportedly taken a significant step toward acquiring the signature of Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann after it emerged they've reached a "principle of agreement" with their target. French newspaper Le10Sport (h/t Calciomercato.com) reported Griezmann has given the green light to a move to the Camp Nou and could be well on the path to joining the Blaugrana next summer. Mourinho worried about the possibility of Fellaini leaving Manchester united

Jose Mourinho, the Manchester United manager, has admitted he is worried Marouane Fellaini will leave the club. Fellaini is out of contract at the end of the season and talks over a new deal remain at an impasse. The Belgium international midfielder rejected a new contract offer in September, and while United remain hopeful of persuading the player to stay, he will be free to talk to foreign suitors in January and Mourinho fears he could be tempted to go next summer. The Manchester United skipper suffered a muscle injury in United’s 3-0 win away to Leicester City, and is yet to recover since. He has missed three games after that, and looks all set to be on the sidelines for at least a week more. An 'angry' Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly rejected a new contract at Real Madrid and demanded a transfer away from the Spanish giants at the end of the season. Ronaldo, who has previously made it clear he didn't want to extend his current deal which runs out in 2021, was believed to have wanted to quit the club last summer.
