CRISTIANO RONALDO FIRST PERSON TO DRIVE BUGATTI CHIRON

In case there weren’t already enough reasons to be jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo, the soccer superstar even gets to drive absurd supercars before everyone else. The goal-scoring, supermodel-dating, abs of steel-possessing, Ronaldo became one of the first people in the world to drive the about-to-drop Bugatti Chironrecently, causing envy levels to spike considerably among anyone who loves cars.

While news of the Chiron has been circulating since one was spied in the wild two years ago, the select few who received the privilege of spending $2 plus million on the new Bugatti are only now preparing to take delivery of the car.

As Andy Wallace, Bugatti test driver (how sweet of a job is that?) explains, “Before we hand the Chiron over to our customers, it should be tested and approved by a champion.” That’s where Ronaldo comes in. As you can see from his garage at the beginning of the this video, the Real Madrid and Portugese national team star already has a fleet of impressive vehicles. But that didn’t stop him from enjoying taking the 1,500-horsepower (yes,1,500) supercar out for some hot laps around the track

Of course, not everything in Ronaldo’s life arrives on a silver platter. At the end of the video, Wallace demands the keys back, telling Ronaldo that if he wants to keep the Chiron, he has to call Bugatti. Because if you’re going to get access to a supersonic jet disguised as an automobile, you should at least have to pick up the phone. Hopefully, if Ronaldo does end up with a Chiron, it won’t meet the same fate as Floyd Mayweather’s Bugatti.

Video Assistant Referee(VAR) to be used in Spain

According to Marca, The Spanish FA have been given the green light to begin using VAR - Video Assistant Referee - and the technology could make its debut in the second leg of Atletico Madrid and Elche's Copa del Rey tie at the end of November. VAR is already in use in some European leagues, but there has been a mixed reaction to it, particularly in Germany   and Italy. As such, any initial use of it in Spain will be for testing and it will not be rolled out across the country straight away. Ten-man Real Madrid rescued a 3-3 draw at home to Las Palmas on Wednesday thanks to a late double from Cristiano Ronaldo. Goals from Tana, Jonathan Viera and Kevin-Prince Boateng overturned an early opener from Isco and looked set to give the visitors a shock three points, especially after Gareth Bale's red card early in the second half. Chelsea have won the Premier League title after defeating West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at the Hawthorns. Diego Maradona believes Lionel Messi should have been banned for longer after allegedly insulting a linesman, as he referred to the Barcelona star as a 'teddy bear'. Messi was initially handed a four-game suspension after the incident in a World Cup qualifier against Chile, but after sitting out just one match he has already been cleared to play again. Gambo Mohammed joins Nigerian league champions Plateau United from Kano Pillars

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Plateau United have signed forward Gambo Mohammed on a two-year deal from Kano Pillars. Gambo, who is Kano Pillars all-time leading scorer, was rumoured to be on his way to Rivers United but has now joined the Jos club. The move ended his over a decade romance with Kano Pillars where he was a cult hero among the supporters. The 29-year old joined Kano Pillars from amateur outfit Buffalo FC in 2006 and won three NPFL titles with the club. He is the latest arrival at Plateau United following the acquisition of King Osanga, Charles Henlong, Amos Gyang and Tosin Omoyele. Other new arrivals are Henry Ochuba, Okiemute Odah, Rapheal Anyagwa, Afolabi Wahab and Peter Suswan.
