His mother, Laura, saw quickly that this boy had limitless energy. When he was four, Marc Bombardo went to play for the team in his twon, Sant Quirze del Valles. He started off as a goalkeeper but saw quickly that it was not his job and moved to midfield. Two years later Barcelona signed him and decided that he was a central defender. And from there he hasn't changed. Marc, 11, has always been a responsible boy. In Benjamin B his coach Jordi Perez told him 'Bomba, keep a clean sheet yeah!" to add to the responsibility on his shoulders. His team-mates and even their opponents know Marc as 'la Bomba'. Although he's not a boy that has a lot of idols, Marc doesn't hide his footballing reference point. Good news: Gareth Bale back to Real Madrid training

Gareth Bale was back in Real Madrid training on Friday  as Los Blancos continued their preparations for their weekend LaLiga clash at home to Las Palmas Bale, who has been named in Wales squad for the November friendlies against France and Panama,  now appears to have recovered from a calf injury and could return against the Canary Islanders . The winger has not played for Real since their Champions League win away to Borussia Dortmund in late September . click here for more news

Gambo Mohammed joins Nigerian league champions Plateau United from Kano Pillars

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Plateau United have signed forward Gambo Mohammed on a two-year deal from Kano Pillars. Gambo, who is Kano Pillars all-time leading scorer, was rumoured to be on his way to Rivers United but has now joined the Jos club. The move ended his over a decade romance with Kano Pillars where he was a cult hero among the supporters. The 29-year old joined Kano Pillars from amateur outfit Buffalo FC in 2006 and won three NPFL titles with the club. He is the latest arrival at Plateau United following the acquisition of King Osanga, Charles Henlong, Amos Gyang and Tosin Omoyele. Other new arrivals are Henry Ochuba, Okiemute Odah, Rapheal Anyagwa, Afolabi Wahab and Peter Suswan. Tammy Abraham happy with English national team call up

Tammy Abraham is delighted following his maiden call-up to the English senior national team for the international friendlies against Brazil and Germany. The 20-year-old who is on loan at Swansea from English Premier League champions Chelsea had been torn between representing England or Nigeria, even though he has represented the former at the youth levels. But his latest invitation by the Three Lions manager ,Gareth Southgate may have put an end to speculations over his international future. “Words can’t describe the feeling, but truly blessed and honoured to be called up to @ English seniors. Thanks for all the messages,” Abraham wrote on his Twitter minutes after the squad list was announced. Mali looks like U23 side and not U17 says Iran U17 coach

Head Coach of the Iranian u17 side has accused Mali if age cheating at the ongoing U17 world cup in India. Iran were last Tuesday trashed 5-1 by Mali during the round of 16 match between both sides. Hadji Drame, Lassana N’Diaye, Fode Konate and Seme Camara were on the score sheet in the match dominated by Mali. "They sometimes look like they are an U-23 team and not in the same category as us (U-17),” said Al-Rubaye in the aftermath of the match.  “It’s quite visible in the way they play, the way they shoot and their abilities, like speed and physicality. “It's unfair sometimes because there is a big difference between African teams and others.” Yet Mali coach Jonas Komla shrugged off any insinuations that his side may be fielding overage players. Needing slip-ups from either Liverpool or Manchester City on the final day of the season to have any chance of a top-four finish, Arsenal took an eighth-minute lead through Hector Bellerin. They did suffer a setback when Laurent Koscielny was sent off for a late lunge on Enner Valencia in the 14th minute, ruling him out of the FA Cup final, but doubled their lead through Alexis Sanchez in the 27th minute.
