Barcelona eyeing Antoine Griezmann

Barcelona have been tracking Antoine Griezmann. The French Atletico Madrid strike has a 100 million euro release clause and Barcelona think it's a reasonable price for a forward who has shown in recent years he can be decisive. In the summer Barcelona were interested in him to replace Neymar but the forward's buy-out clause was 200m, raised to that figure while Atletico were under the FIFA transfer ban.
The former Real Sociedad striker is not enjoying himself at Atletico. He has scored just three times in La Liga and the Champions League. It seems like he has his mind on another club. Barcelona may decide to strike for him and add him to the forward line with Messi, Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.

Dani Carvajal  returned to training on Monday morning at Real Madrid's Valdebabas facility. One month after he was diagnosed with a heart infection , the 25-year-old took to the turf along with fitness coach Javi Mayo.  On 25 October,  Zinedine Zidane delivered the positive news that Carvajal has recovered from the virus that ruled him out since late September, and that he had returned to light training. The medical staff at Real Madrid  will not rush Carvajal back to serious physical exertion , as there is a risk that the infection could return. As a result, his work-load will increase incrementally until he is ready to re-join the squad.

Why Man United should think twice about signing Antoine Griezmann

Judging by widespread reports over the last six months, it seems increasingly likely that  Manchester United  will launch a bid to sign Antoine Griezmann from  Atletico Madrid  this summer. The 25-year-old Frenchman has an £85 million release clause in his contract with  los Conchoneros  and the Red Devils are supposedly willing to fork out such a figure to secure their primary transfer target. Griezmann’s qualities are unquestionable, and his form over the last two years puts him among the best players in the world. Gomes has endured a difficult first season at Barcelona since signing from Valencia in the summer. But despite his erratic displays, manager Luis Enrique continues to persist with him. His selection is said to be causing frictions in the dressing room with Messi particularly annoyed. And Spanish outlet DiarioGol claim the Argentina international has demanded Gomes be dropped with immediate effect. Messi and fellow forwards Neymar and Luis Suarez are said to be appalled at Enrique's faith in Gomes. They believe their failure to hit top form is down to the 23-year-old lacklustre displays in the middle of the park. The midfielder's inclusion has come at a price with Ivan Rakitic forced to settle for a place on the bench. Chelsea officially signs Germany and Roma defender Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea finally made Antonio Rudiger's move to the club official Sunday as the former AS Roma defender signed a five-year contract with the Blues. The club announced the news via its official website. In a statement, Rudiger expressed his joy at joining the Premier League champions: "It's a great feeling because not every player has the opportunity to join a huge club like this. Record German champions Bayern München will take on Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while Borussia Dortmund will battle AS Monaco for a place in the final four. The pairings were confirmed during the UCL draw at UEFA headquarters in Nyon at Friday lunchtime. Al Ahly and Wydad settle for a 1-1 draw in the first leg of CAF Champions league final

Al Ahly of Egypt were unable to build on a great start and had to settle for a 1-1 first-leg draw with Wydad Casablanca of Morocco Saturday in the CAF Champions League final. Moamen Zakaria scored after just three minutes for the record eight-time African champions at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Mediterranean city Alexandria. But leading Wydad scorer Achraf Bencharki levelled on 16 minutes and dominant Ahly were unable to regain the lead before a crowd restricted to 50,000 for safety reasons.  Wydad host the return match next Saturday and are favoured to pocket the record $2.5 million (2.1 million euros) first prize given their home form in Africa this season.
