Good news: Gareth Bale back to Real Madrid training

Gareth Bale was back in Real Madrid training on Friday as Los Blancos continued their preparations for their weekend LaLiga clash at home to Las Palmas
Bale, who has been named in Wales squad for the November friendlies against France and Panama, now appears to have recovered from a calf injury and could return against the Canary Islanders.
The winger has not played for Realsince their Champions League win away to Borussia Dortmund in late September.

Gambo Mohammed joins Nigerian league champions Plateau United from Kano Pillars

Nigeria Professional Football League champions Plateau United have signed forward Gambo Mohammed on a two-year deal from Kano Pillars. Gambo, who is Kano Pillars all-time leading scorer, was rumoured to be on his way to Rivers United but has now joined the Jos club. The move ended his over a decade romance with Kano Pillars where he was a cult hero among the supporters. The 29-year old joined Kano Pillars from amateur outfit Buffalo FC in 2006 and won three NPFL titles with the club. He is the latest arrival at Plateau United following the acquisition of King Osanga, Charles Henlong, Amos Gyang and Tosin Omoyele. Other new arrivals are Henry Ochuba, Okiemute Odah, Rapheal Anyagwa, Afolabi Wahab and Peter Suswan. Dutch FA to speak to Vitesse about racist chanting

The Dutch football association KNVB is to look into reports that Vitesse fans made monkey noises directed at Ajax keeper Andre Onana during their match last weekend. The investigation followed a video on YouTube in which the sounds can be heard clearly behind the Ajax goal, where hardened Vitesse fans were sitting. The part of the video with the noise has now been removed but the KNVB has the original recording, website Nu.nl said. ‘Racism has no place in the stadium and must be tackled,’ the KNVB said on Twitter on Tuesday. ‘The KNVB has approached Vitesse to take steps.’ Nu.nl said the KNVB will decide on the basis of the clubs and the referees reports whether to start a formal investigation. A spokesman for the Arnhem club told the Telegraaf that ‘unfortunately’ a small group of people had ‘audibly misbehaved’. ‘There is no room for this sort of behaviour in our stadium. Video Assistant Referee(VAR) to be used in Spain

According to Marca, The Spanish FA have been given the green light to begin using VAR - Video Assistant Referee - and the technology could make its debut in the second leg of Atletico Madrid and Elche's Copa del Rey tie at the end of November. VAR is already in use in some European leagues, but there has been a mixed reaction to it, particularly in Germany   and Italy. As such, any initial use of it in Spain will be for testing and it will not be rolled out across the country straight away. This, though, is a start and a big step, one which seemed unlikely to come to fruition until Angel Maria Villar had to step aside as Spanish FA president. click here for more

Xabi Alonso played his last game in Bayern Munich's 4-1 win over Freiburg, a game in which he provided an assist to Roben for Bayern's first goal. Xabi Alonso got a standing ovation from Bayern Munich's fans when he was replaced by Frank Ribery in 82 minutes of the game. What a legend he is, and will be missed by football lovers for his ability to deliver long  range passes accurately. Alonso played an amazing 815 games with 17 trophies including one world cup and two Euro with Spain.

Morata: I regretted leaving Juventus for Real Madrid

Juventus signed Morata from Madrid in 2014 but the Spanish champions exercised a clause to re-sign him in 2016.  However, after just one year back at Madrid, Morata joined Chelsea in the summer.  "There were contractual agreements to respect," the striker told  La Gazzetta dello Sport of his return to Spain.  "The disappointment was huge: I went right back to the start. They treated me like the kid I was before the two seasons in Italy. "I arrived [in Italy] feeling like a boy and I returned feeling like a true player. I should never have left Italy and Juve.  "I really miss Italy. My wife would like to live in Spain; I'd like to live in Italy."
