Barcelona Duo: Andre Gomes and Sergi Roberto out for the whole of November due to injury

at both Andre Gomes and Sergi Roberto will be missing, through injury, for the whole of November.

Roberto suffered a fibrillar tear in the right thigh hamstring and will be out for around five weeks.

For his part, Gomes, who did not start at Olympiacos, suffered a lesion in the right femoral biceps hamstring, and is expected to miss between three and four weeks.

Dani Carvajal  returned to training on Monday morning at Real Madrid's Valdebabas facility. Gomes has endured a difficult first season at Barcelona since signing from Valencia in the summer. But despite his erratic displays, manager Luis Enrique continues to persist with him. His selection is said to be causing frictions in the dressing room with Messi particularly annoyed. And Spanish outlet DiarioGol claim the Argentina international has demanded Gomes be dropped with immediate effect. Messi and fellow forwards Neymar and Luis Suarez are said to be appalled at Enrique's faith in Gomes. They believe their failure to hit top form is down to the 23-year-old lacklustre displays in the middle of the park. The midfielder's inclusion has come at a price with Ivan Rakitic forced to settle for a place on the bench. Chelsea officially signs Germany and Roma defender Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea finally made Antonio Rudiger's move to the club official Sunday as the former AS Roma defender signed a five-year contract with the Blues. The club announced the news via its official website. Record German champions Bayern München will take on Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while Borussia Dortmund will battle AS Monaco for a place in the final four. The pairings were confirmed during the UCL draw at UEFA headquarters in Nyon at Friday lunchtime. Al Ahly and Wydad settle for a 1-1 draw in the first leg of CAF Champions league final

Al Ahly of Egypt were unable to build on a great start and had to settle for a 1-1 first-leg draw with Wydad Casablanca of Morocco Saturday in the CAF Champions League final. Moamen Zakaria scored after just three minutes for the record eight-time African champions at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Mediterranean city Alexandria. But leading Wydad scorer Achraf Bencharki levelled on 16 minutes and dominant Ahly were unable to regain the lead before a crowd restricted to 50,000 for safety reasons.  Wydad host the return match next Saturday and are favoured to pocket the record $2.5 million (2.1 million euros) first prize given their home form in Africa this season.
