Tennis- Del Potro: 'Roger Federer is the best ever, he can be World No. 1 again'

For Juan Martin Del Potro, Roger Federer is not only an inspiration but a great friend too. Many times the Argentinean tennis player said that when he was out of competition due to the wrist injury, Roger supported him through messages on WhatsApp, and now that also Federer, who was out six months due to a knee injury, is back at his best level winning Australian Open, a comment by Del Potro about it couldn't await.

'I think it was fantastic for us [players] and for fans' Del Potro told ESPN about the epic five sets battle won by Federer against Nadal - I woke up at 5:00 AM only to watch the final, and if there were other players I don't think I wouldn't have done it. From them you can learn a lot day by day, you can beat them too because they are normal (smiles). When you have a natural talent like Federer's, you only need to be doing well physically. If I managed to comeback and to do a good pre-season after a long injury, imagine him that is the best player ever... I hope he stays healthy, it would be beautiful if he could compete with Djokovic and Murray for the first position (in the ATP Rankings).'

Rohr:Vincent Enyeama may return to the super Eagles team.

Lille OSC coach Marcelo Bielsa has decided to make a u-turn and recall Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama back to the first team. The former Super Eagles skipper has been handed a lifeline by Bielsa following his return from a six month injury lay-off. Enyeama and 11 others were deemed surplus to requirements by Bielsa upon his appointment as coach of the French giants last summer, paving the way for them to leave the club. However, the 35-year old net minder couldn’t make a move as he was recuperating from the meniscus surgery he sustained towards the end of the previous campaign. Real Madrid have named their squad to face Eibar on Saturday and must do without the suspended Gareth Bale and now Cristiano Ronaldo, who is injured. There has been a tense atmosphere in the Barcelona dressing room over the last few days, after a training ground bust up between Juan Carlos Unzue and Neymar in which the assistant coach compared the Brazilian's attitude to that of his contemporary, Ronaldinho. The incident apparently occurred after Unzue reproached the player for the way in which he was applying himself in training. "If you continue this way, you'll end up just like Ronaldinho," he said to Neymar, a comment that was clearly not to the liking of a player who can count the former Barcelona No.10 amongst his close friends. Ronaldinho showed he still has his magical feet with his 3 assist in a match between Barcelona legends and Real Madrid legends. Cavani reveals Neymar will take PSG next penalty

Edinson Cavani has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery has decided his side's next penalty will be taken by Neymar. The Uruguayan and the world's most expensive player were embroiled in an embarrassing public fall-out during the club's 2-0 win over Lyon in September. Neymar was seen remonstrating with Cavani as they both stood over the spot arguing over who should take the penalty, having earlier squabbled over the taking of a set-piece. Emery and the PSG hierarchy have done all they can to prevent a similar situation arising again with Cavani reportedly being offered €1million to pass on penalty duties to his Brazilian team-mate. After Cavani rejected the financial offer, Emery has been forced to step in and hand the reigns over to Neymar himself. Mourinho worried about the possibility of Fellaini leaving Manchester united

Jose Mourinho, the Manchester United manager, has admitted he is worried Marouane Fellaini will leave the club. Fellaini is out of contract at the end of the season and talks over a new deal remain at an impasse. The Belgium international midfielder rejected a new contract offer in September, and while United remain hopeful of persuading the player to stay, he will be free to talk to foreign suitors in January and Mourinho fears he could be tempted to go next summer.
