Italy sack their coach after he failed to qualify them for 2018 world cup

Italy have announced they have sacked manager Gian Piero Ventura with immediate effect.Like our Facebook page
The 69-year-old was under the spotlight after failing to guide the iconic European side to next summer's World Cup.
Defeat by Sweden over two legs meant Italy failed to book themselves a World Cup place for only the second time in their history.
'As the first point of order of the day, [Italian Football Federation President Carlo] Tavecchio communicated the choice on the guidance of the Azzurri and, as of today, Giampiero Ventura is no longer the Commissario Tecnico of the national team,' a Press release via the Italian FA (FIGC) confirmed.
The FIGC have wasted no time in looking for a successor however, after already sounding out former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti about potentially taking the role.
It is the first time in 60 years the Azzurri have missed out on the pinnacle tournament of world football, and the first major tournament they have missed since Euro 1992.
