McGregor confident he will beat Mayweather

The oddsmakers aren't giving Conor McGregor a very good shot at beating Floyd Mayweather if the two combat sports superstars ever meet in the ring, but that doesn't deter the UFC champion from displaying his usual brand of confidence ahead of the potential super fight.

According to the Westgate sports book in Las Vegas, Mayweather would be a whopping 25-to-1 favorite to beat McGregor as he looks to move his perfect boxing record to 50-0 with his next match.

Real Madrid's signing of Theo Hernandez moved a step closer on Monday as the left-back completed an extensive and exhaustive medical, one which he passed without problem. Currently on loan with Deportivo Alaves, the Atletico Madrid defender is determined to join Los Blancos despite Los Colchoneros' preference to sell him to Barcelona. Now, having come through his medical at Madrid's La Moraleja Sanitas Clinic, the 19-year-old is set to move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu when Real Madrid deposit his release clause of 24 million euros with the Spanish league and put an end to the long-standing non-aggression pact between the capital city clubs. Dutch FA to speak to Vitesse about racist chanting

The Dutch football association KNVB is to look into reports that Vitesse fans made monkey noises directed at Ajax keeper Andre Onana during their match last weekend. The investigation followed a video on YouTube in which the sounds can be heard clearly behind the Ajax goal, where hardened Vitesse fans were sitting. The part of the video with the noise has now been removed but the KNVB has the original recording, website Nu.nl said. ‘Racism has no place in the stadium and must be tackled,’ the KNVB said on Twitter on Tuesday. ‘The KNVB has approached Vitesse to take steps.’ Nu.nl said the KNVB will decide on the basis of the clubs and the referees reports whether to start a formal investigation.
