Messi doesn't think he can become friends with Ronaldo one day

Messi and Ronaldo are two of the best to play football. Easily the two greatest players of their generation.
While they respect each others talents, will the Barcelona and Real Madrid stars be friends?
They have plenty in common.
From guiding their respective sides to domestic and European glory, not to mention holding aloft the most prestigious individual honours.
Messi and Ronaldo have nine Ballon d'Or gongs between them, though Messi is unsure whether they can become friends.


"I don't know if we will be," the Argentine ace told MARCA.
"Friendship is built through spending time together and getting to know each other. We have no relationship, mainly because we only see each other at awards ceremonies and that's the only time we speak.
Obviously, they lock horns during the El Clasico and are often seen together at FIFA functions.
Messi added: "Everything is fine, but our lives don't cross over very often."

Alonso optimistic Chelsea will beat Roma after weekend disappointing loss to Crystal Palace

Alonso said Roma is a very strong team and Chelsea will need to give 100 per cent in order to beat them. According to the defender,  after the disappointing  loss at Palace, the only way forward is to work hard and win our next game. He believes tomorrow provides them with another chance to put in a good performance, as they did in Madrid. Dutch FA to speak to Vitesse about racist chanting

The Dutch football association KNVB is to look into reports that Vitesse fans made monkey noises directed at Ajax keeper Andre Onana during their match last weekend. The investigation followed a video on YouTube in which the sounds can be heard clearly behind the Ajax goal, where hardened Vitesse fans were sitting. The part of the video with the noise has now been removed but the KNVB has the original recording, website Nu.nl said. ‘Racism has no place in the stadium and must be tackled,’ the KNVB said on Twitter on Tuesday. ‘The KNVB has approached Vitesse to take steps.’ Nu.nl said the KNVB will decide on the basis of the clubs and the referees reports whether to start a formal investigation. Head Coach of the Iranian u17 side has accused Mali if age cheating at the ongoing U17 world cup in India. Iran were last Tuesday trashed 5-1 by Mali during the round of 16 match between both sides. Official: Dani Alves rejects Man city and joins PSG

Dani Alves terminated his contract with juventus last month, and it was reported last week he was close to joining Man City to reunite with formal manager Pep Guardiola . Goal claimed that the three time Champions League winning defender was to sign a two-year deal at the Etihad Stadium worth £8.6 million, equating to roughly £85,000-per-week. However Alves has had a change of heart and instead has signed for Paris Saint-Germain, where he is expected to earn more than double what City were offering him. The former Barcelona right-back has taken on the No.32 shirt at PSG, and has penned a two-year deal with the Ligue One side and will earn roughly £240,000 a week.
