Legendary Andrea Pirlo retires from football

Yankee Stadium was the final stage for Andrea Pirlo. Indisputably one of the greatest ever and most well-loved players in the world, he finished his career as a leader by example in MLS where had played since joining New York City FC in 2015.
It ended with elimination as New York beat Columbus Crew 2-0 but it wasn’t enough to overturn the 4-1 deficit from the first leg.
With the match running down, New York Coach Patrick Vieira brought Pirlo on in the 90th minute to a standing ovation.  There was applause and chanting in the Big Apple from the fans who always applauded him whenever he went to take a corner as the club now turns a corner following the departure of one of its greatest stars.
Pirlo won everything, representing the biggest clubs in Italian football. With Milan, he established himself on the international stage and reached the greatest heights before reinventing himself at Juventus for a new successful spell. With Italy, he made history lifting the World Cup in 2006 and overall me made 116 appearances scoring 13 times.
His was a quiet revolution. The way in which he interpreted the game remains unique and unrepeatable.

Wwe-Vince McMahon shocks fans by Firing The Rock

WWE boss Vince McMahon The wrestling legend had been backstage at the company’s flagship programme all day,  working on scenes for Fighting With My Family  – about WWE superstar Paige and her family. And – although not appearing during the live show – he walked out before Raw kicked off to film a few shots for the film. After a couple of minutes entertaining the crowd with his iconic catchphrases, McMahon’s entrance music hit and he came out to “fire” The Rock – real name Dwayne Johnson. Antoine Griezmann's future is unclear at Atlético Madrid and he was on French television recently speaking about where his career might lead him. Enrique Cerezo, the president of Atlético Madrid, ruled out selling the Frenchman but Theo Griezmann, his brother, posted a photo of Old Trafford before deleting his entire account on Saturday. Griezmann himself is not doing much to quell the rumours. He appeared on Telefoot and had to answer 'yes' or 'no' to questions. Rohr:Vincent Enyeama may return to the super Eagles team.

Lille OSC coach Marcelo Bielsa has decided to make a u-turn and recall Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama back to the first team. The former Super Eagles skipper has been handed a lifeline by Bielsa following his return from a six month injury lay-off. Enyeama and 11 others were deemed surplus to requirements by Bielsa upon his appointment as coach of the French giants last summer, paving the way for them to leave the club. However, the 35-year old net minder couldn’t make a move as he was recuperating from the meniscus surgery he sustained towards the end of the previous campaign. Gomes has endured a difficult first season at Barcelona since signing from Valencia in the summer. But despite his erratic displays, manager Luis Enrique continues to persist with him. His selection is said to be causing frictions in the dressing room with Messi particularly annoyed. And Spanish outlet DiarioGol claim the Argentina international has demanded Gomes be dropped with immediate effect. Messi and fellow forwards Neymar and Luis Suarez are said to be appalled at Enrique's faith in Gomes. They believe their failure to hit top form is down to the 23-year-old lacklustre displays in the middle of the park. The midfielder's inclusion has come at a price with Ivan Rakitic forced to settle for a place on the bench. Video Assistant Referee(VAR) to be used in Spain

According to Marca, The Spanish FA have been given the green light to begin using VAR - Video Assistant Referee - and the technology could make its debut in the second leg of Atletico Madrid and Elche's Copa del Rey tie at the end of November. VAR is already in use in some European leagues, but there has been a mixed reaction to it, particularly in Germany   and Italy. As such, any initial use of it in Spain will be for testing and it will not be rolled out across the country straight away.
