Tammy Abraham happy with English national team call up

Tammy Abraham is delighted following his maiden call-up to the English senior national team for the international friendlies against Brazil and Germany.
The 20-year-old who is on loan at Swansea from English Premier League champions Chelsea had been torn between representing England or Nigeria, even though he has represented the former at the youth levels.
But his latest invitation by the Three Lions manager ,Gareth Southgate may have put an end to speculations over his international future.
“Words can’t describe the feeling, but truly blessed and honoured to be called up to @ English seniors. Thanks for all the messages,” Abraham wrote on his Twitter minutes after the squad list was announced.
Southgate also handed another Chelsea loanee Ruben Loftus-Cheek his first invitation, along with Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.
Abraham has had a hand in five of Swansea’s seven league goals this season (4 goals, 1 assist), the highest ratio in the Premier League.
He has represented England at U-18, U-19 and U-21 levels.

Alonso optimistic Chelsea will beat Roma after weekend disappointing loss to Crystal Palace

Alonso said Roma is a very strong team and Chelsea will need to give 100 per cent in order to beat them. According to the defender,  after the disappointing  loss at Palace, the only way forward is to work hard and win our next game. He believes tomorrow provides them with another chance to put in a good performance, as they did in Madrid. Alonso also said the team has been working well in training and he hopes they will perform a lot better than at the weekend. Will your money be on Chelsea or Roma tomorrow.

Dutch FA to speak to Vitesse about racist chanting

The Dutch football association KNVB is to look into reports that Vitesse fans made monkey noises directed at Ajax keeper Andre Onana during their match last weekend. The investigation followed a video on YouTube in which the sounds can be heard clearly behind the Ajax goal, where hardened Vitesse fans were sitting. The part of the video with the noise has now been removed but the KNVB has the original recording, website Nu.nl said. ‘Racism has no place in the stadium and must be tackled,’ the KNVB said on Twitter on Tuesday. ‘The KNVB has approached Vitesse to take steps.’ Nu.nl said the KNVB will decide on the basis of the clubs and the referees reports whether to start a formal investigation. Ernesto Valverde  will a few problems to keep him occupied this week.  Gerard Piqué who went into this yesterday's meeting with  Leganés  on four yellow cards, picked up a fifth booking on 29 minutes for which means he will now miss next week's away trip to Valencia. Head Coach of the Iranian u17 side has accused Mali if age cheating at the ongoing U17 world cup in India. Iran were last Tuesday trashed 5-1 by Mali during the round of 16 match between both sides. Hadji Drame, Lassana N’Diaye, Fode Konate and Seme Camara were on the score sheet in the match dominated by Mali.
