Barcelona likely to beat Real Madrid to the signature of new Marcelo

Barça has managed to take the lead to Real Madrid in the negotiation to close the signing of what in Brazil and see as the natural relay of Marcelo: Guilherme Arana. The Barça club has long been tracking this young defender of Corinthians and is already moving his son to lay the foundations of the agreement that should take him on his way to Barca in the short or medium term. 
His performance throughout this year is being absolutely spectacular and that has caught the attention not only of the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez, but also of other clubs in the Spanish League such as Atlético de Madrid or Sevilla.
 Marcelo, who signed just a few weeks ago the extension of the contract that links him to Real Madrid, has experienced a serious drop in performance since his last injury. 
The player who signed the white club with the aim of giving him rest and, eventually, taking his place, the Frenchman Theo Hernández, is not quite fitting in the schemes of the team coached by Zinedine Zidane and they have already raised the first voices that openly criticize its quality (or, rather, the lack of it) to play in a club of the height of which Florentino Pérez presides. 
The young Guilherme Arana has now become the strongest Brazilian promise for the left wing of the  Canarinha and, because of his powerful shot, there are even those who compare him with another illustrious Madridista: Roberto Carlos.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has identified Brazilian midfielder Paulinho as a man that fits the style of football he wants to play in his first season in charge of Barcelona. First Barcelona offer for Paulinho was rejected by his club Guangzhou, as they saw it as an inappropriate way to bid for a player. Barcelona have to change their bid plan if they really want to get the man they want. Barcelona will place a second offer above €30 million but not up to €40 million Guangzhou's asking price. Even if they are to pay €40 million, they will pay it based on the player's performance for them meaning they are not paying it once. What Conte told Chelsea players at halftime against Bournemouth

Chelsea came through their Premier League encounter with Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday to avoid slipping further behind in the title race. The Blues dominated the encounter on the South Coast, however they only managed to score the one goal. Eden Hazard scored that goal just after half time following a fine assist from Alvaro Morata. Speaking after the match, Cesar Azpilicueta revealed what Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said to the players at half-time. ‘Keep going. Ramos scores brace, Madrid beats Napoli 3-1

Real Madrid came from behind to secure a 3-1 away win against Napoli as the European Champions are through to the quarter finals with a 6-2 aggregate score. Knowing that they need to put pressure if they are going to have any chance of going through, Napoli took the initiative in the early stages of the match and were close after seven minutes. Marek Hamsik hit a low shot from outside the penalty area that ended up slightly wide.  The Italian team had another chance on the 13th minute. Antonio Conte has brushed aside talk of a return to Italy after he led his Chelsea side to a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday. Chelsea edged United in a tense game at Stamford Bridge to keep their hopes of defending their title alive. The Manchester United skipper suffered a muscle injury in United’s 3-0 win away to Leicester City, and is yet to recover since. He has missed three games after that, and looks all set to be on the sidelines for at least a week more. Video Assistant Referee(VAR) to be used in Spain

According to Marca, The Spanish FA have been given the green light to begin using VAR - Video Assistant Referee - and the technology could make its debut in the second leg of Atletico Madrid and Elche's Copa del Rey tie at the end of November. VAR is already in use in some European leagues, but there has been a mixed reaction to it, particularly in Germany   and Italy. As such, any initial use of it in Spain will be for testing and it will not be rolled out across the country straight away. Only few people would argue the fact that A.c Milan new guy Leonardo Bonucci is not the best signing so far, considering the price paid for his service. Leonardo Bonucci cost A.c  Milan  €17 million less than what kyle Walker cost Man city, even with a better experience. Man City are to pay €57 million to Tottenham Hotspur for Kyle Walker while Leonardo Bonucci will cost Milan €40 million which made us think about how overpriced English players are.
