Alonso optimistic Chelsea will beat Roma after weekend disappointing loss to Crystal Palace

Alonso said Roma is a very strong team and Chelsea will need to give 100 per cent in order to beat them.

According to the defender,  after the disappointing  loss at Palace, the only way forward is to work hard and win our next game.

He believes tomorrow provides them with another chance to put in a good performance, as they did in Madrid.

Alonso also said the team has been working well in training and he hopes they will perform a lot better than at the weekend.

Tottenham are poised to join the hunt for Real Socidedad winger Mikel Oyarzabal , according to a report. Barcelona have reportedly taken a significant step toward acquiring the signature of Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann after it emerged they've reached a "principle of agreement" with their target.
