Lionel Messi doing what he had never done before this season

By

Lionel Messi has not rested so far this season and had played every match.

Even in a time when the push of a player is limited by so many things, Lionel still doesn't care and had probably gone to another level.

Even at 30 years he is doing what he haven't done before, playing every match at this stage of the campaign.

In other past season Messi  had been the last to return but this season was a reverse case.

Under the new coach Mess I has impressed in the 13 matches he played.

Video Assistant Referee(VAR) to be used in Spain

By
Image
According to Marca, The Spanish FA have been given the green light to begin using VAR - Video Assistant Referee - and the technology could make its debut in the second leg of Atletico Madrid and Elche's Copa del Rey tie at the end of November. VAR is already in use in some European leagues, but there has been a mixed reaction to it, particularly in Germany   and Italy. As such, any initial use of it in Spain will be for testing and it will not be rolled out across the country straight away. This, though, is a start and a big step, one which seemed unlikely to come to fruition until Angel Maria Villar had to step aside as Spanish FA president. click here for more

Chelsea ready £71 million for top Spanish midfielder

By
Image
Chelsea are ready to cough up £71m to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain Spanish outlet  Don Balon , as quoted by the  Daily Star , reporting that the defending Premier League champions want to sign the 22-year-old midfielder to bolster their options in the January transfer window. According to the same report, Chelsea boss Conte is a big admirer of the Spain international and the Italian coach wants the attacking midfielder in the next transfer window. However, the Blues could find it difficult to lure Niguez to Stamford Bridge after the 22-year-old signed a new four-year deal with Atletico in the summer. Indeed,  los Rojiblancos  wisely included an eye-watering £134m contract release clause to warn off potential suitors in the promising Atletico Madrid talent. Another stumbling block to any potential deal is Diego Simeone’s reluctance to sell the rising Spanish star, acco...

Ibrahimovic: Since I left nobody except much from Sweden

By
Image
The 36-year-old had already retired from international duty before sustaining a serious knee injury, but spent much of his career in Italy with Juventus, Milan and Inter, so is the perfect person to discuss the World Cup play-off. “These are going to be two great games, difficult for both sides,” Ibra told Sky Sport Italia. “The teams will do everything to get through, so these are basically like cup finals. The play-offs are completely different to a group stage game.” The first leg is in Stockholm on Friday evening, with the decider in Milan next Monday. “Sweden are playing without pressure, because since I left, nobody expects much of them now, from the media to the fans. When I play, the level is raised, so it is lowered in my absence. “Having said that, this squad remains a good collective, just with less responsibility on their shoulders. The players are not very experienced, but the project is ambitious.” Would Ibrahimovic play for Sweden if they qualify for the ...

Angry Messi tells Barca to Drop Andre Gomes

By
Image
Gomes has endured a difficult first season at Barcelona since signing from Valencia in the summer. But despite his erratic displays, manager Luis Enrique continues to persist with him. His selection is said to be causing frictions in the dressing room with Messi particularly annoyed. And Spanish outlet DiarioGol claim the Argentina international has demanded Gomes be dropped with immediate effect. Messi and fellow forwards Neymar and Luis Suarez are said to be appalled at Enrique's faith in Gomes. They believe their failure to hit top form is down to the 23-year-old lacklustre displays in the middle of the park. The midfielder's inclusion has come at a price with Ivan Rakitic forced to settle for a place on the bench. And Rakitic is now being Linked with a move to Real Madrid having grown tired of life out in the cold.

TOTTENHAM DEALT A BLOW IN TITLE CHASE

By
Image
And it was. A 1-0 win, same as last year; that dealt a savage blow to Tottenham's title ambitions, same as last year. The change was the location. All year, West Ham fans have complained that their new home isn't like Upton Park. Well, this time it was. A night game, a boisterous atmosphere, and a result that proved West Ham can still be inspired in these unfamiliar surrounds. They were the better team over 90 minutes. In fact, they could have won by more, had Jonathan Calleri and Ashley Fletcher taken late chances. Tottenham's travellers admitted as much by scurrying into the night. The pursuit has proved too much for them, again. All eyes were on leaders Chelsea but, in reality, it is the chasing team that cannot afford even one misstep. To be fair, the warning sign was there at Selhurst Park two weeks ago. Tottenham were ordinary that night but were saved by a great goal from Christian Eriksen. That wasn't going to happen again. They couldn't be rescued by a...

Juventus in UCL final after 4-1 aggregate win over Monaco

By
Image
Juventus, four goals up on aggregate and already thinking about their date with destiny on June 3, switched off for one moment and Kylian Mbappe nipped in to score what was nothing other than a consolation but, to Allegri, it appeared as though the world had ended. In a spell between the 22nd and 44th minute, Juventus had eight clear chances to score and had it not been for an inspired performance from Danijel Subasic in Monaco’s goal, what turned out to be a drubbing could have become a rout. Gonzalo Higuain had a shot cleared off the line; Mandzukic was thwarted, as was Claudio Marchisio; Paulo Dybala, the architect of the victory over Barcelona in the quarter finals, could scarcely believe he fluffed his lines when sent clean through. Ultimately, though, the misses never mattered. Mandzukic killed off any last lingering hopes Monaco were clinging to when, at the second attempt, he made sure a magnificent cross from Dani Alves got the finish it deserved, stabbing his shot int...

It will be "suicidal", if we pack the bus against Al Ahly in CAF champions league final

By
Image
Wydad Casablanca coach Hussein Amotta said it would be "suicidal" to try and defend the 1-1 CAF Champions League final first-leg draw when they meet Al Ahly again Saturday.  A goalless second leg at the Stade Mohammed V would give the Moroccans victory over the Egyptians on the away-goal rule in the premier African club competition title decider. But Amotta believes "parking the bus" is not an option as Wydad seek to win the competition for the second time after their 1992 triumph over Al Hilal of Sudan. "Ahly boast one of the best attacks in Africa so it would be suicidal to sit back and defend against them, hoping to win on away goals," the 48-year-old former midfielder said. "We must attack because there are flaws in the Ahly defence, while not giving our opponents space to catch us on the counter. "Wydad achieved a great result in Egypt by holding Ahly, one of the most experienced clubs in the continent. "But this final ...
